Understand how wavelength, pulse duration, fluence, and spot size affect treatment outcomes
Recognize chromophores (melanin, hemoglobin, and water) and their role in clinical targeting

Understand mechanisms of long-pulsed laser hair removal
Learn safe and effective treatment parameters for different skin types (Fitzpatrick scale I–VI)
Identify appropriate patient selection and contraindications

Dr Deisy Prieto is a highly accomplished medical professional. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Florida Atlantic University, as well as her Master’s and undergraduate degrees from Florida International University. She has been Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) since 2004.
A Cuban native, Dr. Prieto came to the United States at the age of nineteen while in her second year of medical school. Despite facing significant challenges, she remained committed to her goals and never gave up on her dreams. In 2013, she founded her first practice, South Florida Preventive Care Group, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. In 2019, due to growth in the practice, she relocated to Hollywood, Florida, and later opened a second location in 2022 in Clewiston, Fl.
In addition to successfully running her medical practices, Dr. Prieto is a dedicated educator who has served as a Clinical Preceptor for several universities, helping train and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Driven by her passion for high-quality patient care and education, Dr. Prieto established her own institute to support medical professionals in building and growing successful practices. Through her programs, she shares proven strategies to help others achieve independence and long-term success.
